Sean (250 A):
This race went more so how I expected Florida to go; I got the holeshot and led going into the woods. I chose a poor line and slipped back to second and stayed there through the first two laps. I wasn’t pushing too hard due to the humidity, which was smart in the long run as many others got sick and DNF’d. I enjoyed the track a lot; it was very slow paced and lots of roots and tight sections. A few tip-overs and slowing near the end cost me a few spots, but I’m happy with the results. Just finishing my first GNCC of the year and not getting lapped made me happy. I ended up 5th in 250A and 45th Overall, but I still believe I have a lot more to offer going into the next race.

Sean (250 A):
I felt very good coming into this race with my decent Sprint Enduro finish. I pulled the holeshot from the 250A line and pulled a few second lead heading into the woods. Unfortunately, right before I entered the woods I hit the first few braking bumps and got blown off the bike at high speed in 4th gear. I got lawn darted over the front end, but luckily was unharmed. As for my bike, I bent my handlebars and broke my twinwall brace, as well as breaking my throttle housing. I got up relatively quick and made it up to 8th before stopping in the pits and going back to 15th. My throttle kept sticking on me and kept almost making me crash, but I didn't have a spare and kept going. I was in 10th on the third lap when I buried my bike in what was pretty much quick sand; they had us go through a sand pit a few times during the lap and it was holding water everywhere. So I decided to call it a day and get my bike fixed for the next race.

Sean (Lites A): The sprint Enduro went well. I had the opportunity to test prior to the event and felt like I ran a good pace both days. I did struggle with my set up, however, on the slick, black, muck-like sand that was in a lot of low-lying areas; the track was near a marsh. I was consistently in the top 30s both days. I ended up 8th in Lites A, and 36th overall for the combined days.

Note: Alex broke his right hand just prior to heading to Florida.  On March 23 he will have the pins removed out of his hand.  With a speedy recovery he should be back on the start line by the end of April.
