(Houston, Texas – April 7, 2015) – Sikk Shades® by Eddie Bauer Jr., a proud sponsor of the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha racing team, are offering 125 kids and adults with autism, and their family, the opportunity to meet Team Rider #981 Austin Politelli and view the track and the pit one day before the Houston round of the AMA Supercross race this weekend at NRG Stadium.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicate that approximately 1 in 68 American children are on the autism spectrum. There is no definitive explanation for the increase in rates of diagnosis. The month April has been designated as Autism Awareness initiated in part by the Autism Society of America, which celebrates 50 years this year growing awareness of autism and communities that support them.

Time and Date: April 10, 2015 – Friday Time: 1pm to 2PM To be considered for the experience, attendees must direct message Sikk Shades on Twitter, Facebook, & Instagram (@sikkshades)

Selected participants will receive location, parking and experience an autograph signing, tour of the race transport truck, VIP access to pit area and networking opportunity with attendees. In addition, a drawing will be held for gift bags and 1 Super Race Pack to include a 4-pack of tickets, VIP pit passes, and Dinner in the Pits with the 51Fifty Energy Drink Yamaha racing team before the race on race day.

Garrett Head is the Manager of Video and Graphics for Sikk Shades and is high-functioning autistic. He is very honored to be supporting this company’s effort to help raise awareness for autism and treat families to this wonderful opportunity to enjoy Supercross racing up close and personal.

About Sikk Shades®

Sikk Shades® is the new standard in performance eyewear for active lifestyles. After three years of research and development, Sikk Shades’ flagship frames, Huckleberry and Qualifier, offer action sports enthusiasts a fresh look while outperforming traditional polarized lenses. Founded by Eddie Bauer Jr. and tested by up-and-coming amateur and professional athletes, Sikk Shades utilize Flash Electric™ technology, which blocks harmful UV rays while avoiding the distortion and depth perception issues common in most polarized lenses. The perfectly balanced, Italian-made frames eliminate pressure points behind the ears for a better fit and all day wear and comfort. The non-slip nose grip is embedded right into the frame, keeping glasses firmly in place even in harsh conditions. friend Brittannee and I would love to attend this event to the Supercross, especially since his father was a motocross racer back in his youth.

    Thank you,
